Biography

Rebecca (Troth) Haines, d. 1771; daughter of William and Elizabeth (Field) Troth.^[1]

First intentions of marriage (to Amos Haines) were declared at Haddonfield MM during 7 mo. (Sept.) 1731, and their marriage probably took place less than two months later.^[1]

Their marriage occurred in 1731 at Evesham Meeting, under care of Haddonfield MM.^[1]

Rebecca and Amos had the following children:

1. Elizabeth Haines m Joseph Cooper
2. Rebecca Haines m Joseph Eves
3. Mary Haines m Jacob Wills^[2][3]

Rebecca is assumed to have passed away in November 1771 for this is when her estate was inventoried after her death.^[1]

1764, Oct. 23. Haines, Rebecca, of Evesham, Burlington Co., widow of Amos Haines; will of. Daughter, Rebecca Eves, wife of Joseph Eves £33, 6 shillings and 8 pence, being 1/3 of £100 bequeathed by my father, William Troth, to be paid among my children after the death of my mother and myself. Daughter, Elizabeth Cooper, the like amount. Youngest daughter, Mary Haines, the like amount. Daughter Rebecca Eves, the wife of Joseph Eves, £5. Daughter Elizabeth Cooper, the wife of Joseph Cooper, £5. Daughter, Mary to have the rest of my estate. Executors--my two-sons-in-law, Joseph Eves and Joseph Cooper, and my friend, Micajah Wills. Witnesses--William Troth, Abraham Allen. Proved Dec. 7, 1771.
