Biography

The marriage of Paul Matias (used as last name) with Angélique Hunault was done on 8 Jan 1725 in Lachine. He is listed as around 28 years old, son of Jacques René dit Matias (deceased) and Anne Mouflet. Listed as present at this wedding were: his mother, Jean Baptiste Gourdon, step-father of the groom, Vincent Henry, François Meloche, Suzanne Mouflet, uncles and aunt of the groom, Marie josephe Meloche, his first cousin, and numerous relatives and friends of the bride as well.^[1]
