Sir John Audley lived at Swaffham in 1526 and d. 18 April 1529, buried at Swaffham, Norfolk He had two wives; (1) Muriel da. of Sir Thomas Brewse of Wenham, Suffolk and (2) Elizabeth, widow of Thomas Blake, Esq (d. 1541/2)
Children of Sir John Audley and Muriel Brewse:
As stated on the wikipedia page of James Tuchet, 5th Baron Audley; surname is Tuchet/Touchet and was not different until son, Edmund used Audley instead of Tuchet. Therefore, surname is not Audley. Audley was intended as a title.
There is a detailed discussion on the Medieval Genealogy list:[3]
So John had more children than Richard.
This is confusing - his father's generation swtiched from Tuchet/Touchet to Audley. The Awdeley spelling is common in visitations but other sources use Audley spelling; also most sources use the Audley spelling for his father, which I think should be his LNAB.
LNAB change from Tuchet to Audley was not marked until uncle, Edmund Audley (c 1440-1624) used the surname of Audley. Father and siblings all use Touchet/Tuchet.
