John was born in 1735. He was the son of Bennett Tuck and Harrah Cary. He passed away in 1801.
John Tuck was a soldier of the American Revolution in the Battle of Guilford Courthouse, in which battle his son, Edward Tuck, also fought and was wounded. He was a Private in the 8th Virginia Continental Line. - From Oscar Lee Hite's (KHM3-61J) application to the Sons of the American Revolution, dated April 1951.
