Biography

Minnie Lee Tunstall b. 1916, daughter of John and Annie Latta Tunstall m. Willie Lee Satterwhite b. 23 March 1914 d. 23 April 1994. After Willie died she married Ernest Jackson Clayton. Obit: OXFORD - MINNIE Tunstall Satterwhite CLAYTON, 87, a resident of 2700-A Hallie Burnette Road, died Wednesday, February 4, 2004, at Durham Regional Hospital.

A native of Granville County, she was the widow of the late Willie Lee Satterwhite and Ernest (Jackson) CLAYTON and the daughter of the late John and Annie Latta Tunstall. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church and was retired from John Umstead Hospital as a Health Care Technican.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Providence Baptist Church by Dr. Randy Pittman. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Surviving are two daughters, Frances Hall (Bob) of Franklinton, June Stanley (Mitchell) of Dobson; two sons, Steve Satterwhite (Ruth), Julian Satterwhite (Beverly), both of Stem; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; a sister-in-law, Gertrude Satterwhite, and a large extended family. A grandson, Mitchell "Mickey" Stanley preceded her in death.
