The had the following children; Cordelia Turley Condra (1824–1894), Lovina Turley Gott (1826–1858), William Harvey Turley (1829–1908), John Turley (1834–1905), Eden Turley (1838–1861), Houston Turley (1839–1911), Sarah M. Turley Adamson (1842–1907) and Mary A Turley Windell (1845–1921).
He died on 26 Oct 1873 (aged 87) in Harrison County, Indiana.
