Viney Turner, born about 15 July 1793 was the daughter of Thomas TurnerElenore Dill. [1]Her father Thomas was a Revolutionary War soldier and a recognized Patriot of the State of North Carolina. [2]
Viney's father married twice and had a total of 17 children. Viney was his 13th child. At the age of 20, Thomas married Catherine Smith (1735-1783), the daughter of John Smith and Rebecka Anderson of Burlington, New Jersey in Rowan County, North Carolina on 5 May 1754. They had 12 children: 6 daughters and 6 sons. Catherine passed away in 1783 at the age of 48.
Thomas moved his family to Madison Kentucky where he married Eleanor "Nelly" Dill, aged 30, on 22 July 1790 when he was 56 years old. [3]
Thomas and Nelly had 5 children together: Thomas Turner Jr.; Viney Turner; Hannah Turner; Nancy Turner and Benjamin who was born in when Thomas was 66 years old. Nellie passed away in 1810 at the age of 50.
No other records have been found for Levina (Viney) Turner.
