Francis Oswald Turner was born in Fitzroy Township in 1883. He was the son of James Turner and Sarah Abbott. He moved to Saskatchewan with his parents. He married Elva Porter in St. Cuthbert's Anglican Church in Saskatoon in 1925.[1]
Funeral service for Francis Oswald Turner, 76, Wheatfield district farmer, was held recently in the Legion Hall at Perdue with L. Shaw, student minister, officiating. Burial with IOOF rites was made in Perdue cemetery with McKagues Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Turner was born at Fitzroy Harbor, Ontario and came to Saskatchewan in 1903 working with construction firms before settling in 1911 in the Wheatfield district where he had since resided. Mr. Turner was active In community affairs and a member of the IOOF for 51 years. He is survived by his widow, Elva; three sons, Donald, Camp Borden, Ont.; Grant, Leney; and Jack, Saskatoon. [2]
