Ellen Lilian Turner was born on 9 November 1900 in Forbes, New South Wales. She was the daughter of Isaac Robert Turner and Elizabeth Anne Rousell.

On 17 September 1924, Ellen married William Crowther at Forbes, New South Wales. They had three known children.

Ellen passed away on 25 November 1941 in Forbes, aged 41. She was buried in Forbes Cemetery, Forbes, New South Wales.

Research Notes

Middle name imported at profile creation was Lilian. This appears to have come from the marriage notice published in the Forbes Advocate at the time of the wedding. However, details listed in the notice do not seem to be reliable. Groom is listed as Edward, however marriage index lists the groom's first name as William. The marriage index also lists Ellen's middle initial as A, however the birth index does list middle initial as L. Ellen's obituary list her as Mrs. W. Crowther and gives her name as Ellen A. Crowther. Death registration index, and Find a Grave memorial (which is probably based on the same death index) lists middle name as Allan.
