Biography

Henry, child of John Tuttill, was born in Abt 1581 and baptised on 18 June 1581 in Saxlingham Thorpe and Nethergate, Norfolk, England.[1]

Third son.

His will dated 1618/03/20 proved 1619/04/20 mentions John Gooch, father-in-law, Margaret Raue, mother-in-law, Ann Woodward, kinswoman, John Tuthill, brother, Alice, wife and five children.

The Church Register of St. Mary's Thurston records his burial 1618/013/26 and the baptism of all five children (see reference link below).

He and his wife and children have his mother in law Margaret Race living with them

Alice Gooch is not his wife, Alice Race is his wife. I’ve just checked Henry”s father’s will and he names Margaret Race as his mother in law. This is backed up by a marriage record for Henry Tuthill to Alice Race

Are you sure Alice’s LNAB is Gooch.

He names his father in law as Gooch but that doesn’t Neely mean father in law in the sense we think of it nowadays. He may be an uncle or other kinsman.

I found this marriage which is why I query the Gooch LNAB for Alice.
