Biography

Margaret was born 1797 in St Hilary, near Penzance, to John and Elizabeth Tyack[1]

Peter Dingey of St Clement married Margaret Tyack of Redruth in 1820. Both signed their names. Witnesses were William Lukes and Richard Louril[2]

In the 1841 census, Peter Dingey (45), Peggy Dingey (45), Francis Dingey (14), John Dingey (13), James Dingey (12), Peter Dingey (11), Elizabeth Dingey (6), Amos Dingey (5) and servant Elizabeth Miners (15) are living at 1 Lower Rosewin, St Clement[3]

In the 1861 census, Margaret Dingey (58, blacksmiths widow born ) and son Amos Dingey (25) are living at 1 Lower Rosewin, St Clement[4]

Research Notes

St Hilary is no-where near Redruth, but it is the only baptism for a Peggy or Margaret Tyack in Cornwall between 1795 and 1805.
