Peter was born about 1824 in Scotland. He was the son of James and Jane.
He arrived, with his parents, in the Colony of New South Wales as a 15 year old on the Hero on 26 September 1839.[1]
Peter married Sarah Bell in 1857 in the Port Stephens district of the Colony of New South Wales.[2]
He passed away in 1922 and was buried at Lansdowne Cemetery, Lansdowne.[3][4]
