Agnes' parentage and maiden name are unknown.
Based on the earliest estimated date of birth of Agnes' eldest child (1573), Agnes was probably born no earlier than 1547, while based on the latest estimated date of birth of Agnes' eldest child (1580), Agnes was probably born no later than 1561. William was therefore probably born sometime in 1547-1561, with about 1554 being a reasonable midpoint estimate.
Based on the fact that Agnes[1] and her husband William[2] were living in Heaton, Staffordshire when they made their wills, Agnes was probably born in or near Heaton.
Based on (1) references in the will of William Stoddern of Heaton to his wife Agnes and (2) the fact that both Agnes's will and William Stodderd of Heaton's will make bequests to daughter Margery Sont and to Margaret Turnock alias Stodderd, Agnes was married to William Stodderd of Heaton.

Agnes' husband, William, died sometime between December 20, 1606 when he made his will and March 7, 1607/8 when the inventory of his estate was taken.[3]
Agnes and William had the following children:
Daughters Margery and Agnes are referred to as such in William's 1606 will and Agnes' 1611 will. It is probable that Robert Stodderd of Heaton who made his will in 1605 was also their child, based on (1) the fact that Robert's will indicates that (a) he had a "bastard daughter" referred to as "Margaret Ternock alias Stodderd" and (b) Robert's parents were still alive and (2) the fact that both William's 1606 will and Agnes' 1611 will contain bequests to Margaret Turnock alias Stodderd.
Agnes made her will on "fyth day of November in the yeare of our lord one thousand six hundred and Eleven." In his will, she described herself as "Agnes Stodderd of heaton in the county of Stafford widowe." She made bequests to daughter Margery Sont, Margaret Turnock alias Stodderd reputed daughter of Robert Stodderd deceased, and son-in-law Willm Pillesburie. She named son-in-law Willm Pillesburie as her executor. The will was witnessed by John Knight, Thomas Henderne, and Robert Pillesburie. For a full transcription of Agnes' will, see the freespace page for the Will of Agnes Stodderd of Heaton.
The inventory of Agnes' goods, debts and cattells was appraised on January 7, 1611/2, which means that Agnes died sometime between November 5, 1611 (when she made her will) and January 7, 1611/2. Her inventory was appraised by Robert Pillesbury and Richard Turnock and totalled 13li 16s 8d, included a debt payable by Willm Pillesburie of 12li.[10]
