The Ulrich family was living in Dresden in 1850.^[1]

Thomas married Charlotte Brill on 16 October 1870 in Muskingum county.^[2] They were living in Dresden in 1880. Thomas was working as a grocer.^[3] In 1900, they were joined by his wife's niece Mary Lulu Carter and a 6-year-old nephew, Frank Carter. They were still in Dresden in 1910.^[4] Lulu was still with them, but not Frank. Also living with them were roomer Frank D. Johns and his wife, Helen.

Thomas died 10 January 1929 in Dresden.^[5] Burial was at Dresden Cemetery.^[6]
