Margaret "Maggie" Carter^[1] was born about 1861 in Georgia.^[2]

She married James Carter Ashworth on 19 Jan 1875 in Polk County, Georgia^{[1][3][4][5][2][6]} and had the following known children:

1. William Ashworth was born 30 Dec 1875 and died 30 May 1940 in Piedmont, Calhoun County, Alabama.^[4][2]
2. James C. Ashworth was born about 1879 in Georgia.^[2]
3. Judge M. Ashworth was born Mar 1881 in Georgia.^[6]
4. Randolph Ashworth was born Mar 1884 in Georgia.^[6]
5. Sherman Ashworth was born Mar 1886 in Georgia.^[6] He died 16 Apr 1948 in Leesburg, Cherokee County, Alabama.^[5]
