Emma was born in 1902 to parents Layfette Brown Redmond (1870-1950) and Elizabeth Norton.[1]
Emma, age 8, lived with her father, Lafayette, and mother, Lizzie, and siblings Winnie and Bryant when the 1910 Georgia Census was enumerated.
Emma, 17, lived with her parents and four siblings on Graysville Pike in Hamilton, Tennessee, when the 1920 Tennessee Census was enumerated.
Emma, 24, and Gordon Allen Padgett (1904-1945) married in 1926 in Tennessee.[2]
Lyra(?) Pagett was enumerated as sister-in-law of the head of household in Hooker Road, Chattanooga, Hamilton County, Tennessee for the April 12, United States Census, 1930. She was noted as born 1904 in Alabama and married. She was an inspector at a hosiery mill as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head William B Hickey, wife Nannie H Hickey, daughter Grace E Hickey, son Richard B Hickey, daughter Bettye R Hickey, son Donald R Hickey, mother-in-law Lula M Pagett and brother-in-law Allen R Pagett.[3]
Emma's spouse, Gordon, died at age 40 of throat cancer in 1945. He wife is Leah.[4]
