Info. from "Duncan's Journey"
- Around 1790, John (Duncans son) married Mary Pride, a daughter of well respected neighbors, Ira and Mary Pride. At about the same time Duncan remarried to a younger woman from Liverpool, N.S., with the first name of Elizabeth.
- On page 10, In 1835, his widow Elizabeth, sold the remaining property to Thomas Coumans.

- Duncan is said to have remarried prior to this, ( His son John's marriage to Mary Pride) to Elizabeth Wright, at Liverpool. Records that Duncan's wife, while living at Sable River, was Elizabeth but her last name is not clear.
