Mary was born about 1690.*^{[citation needed]} Her surname is unknown.

• Note: The birth date of 1690 was entered to this profile without sourcing. However, the date is a good estimate as the first child was born when Mary would have been 22 years old.

Based on the birth of Brinsley in 1713,^[1] Mary was likely married to James Barnes in 1712 or before. Because the children were born in Dublin,^[1] it is possible that James and Mary were from Dublin and were probably married there.

James and Mary had issue:

i. Brinsley Barnes, b. 5 February 1713 on William Street, Dublin, Ireland^[1]

ii. Thomas Barnes, b. 7 January 1714 on William Street, Dublin, Ireland^[1]

iii. Edward Barnes. b. 7 February 1717 on William Street, Dublin, Ireland^[1]

iv. James Barnes, b. 17 May 1720 on William Street, Dublin, Ireland^[1]

The time and place of Mary's death and burial are not known.

Research Notes

No daughters are listed in the records collected by researcher Martin at the Trinity College archives. It is not known if Martin was only copying male children of James and Mary or if there are no daughters listed in the archives. Based on the spacing of the children's birth years, it is possible that daughters were born in the years before 1713, 1715/16, 1718/19, or 1721 or later. Further research on this point is warranted.
