Ann who married David Hardbattle was born about 1758 in the area around Middleton, Etton and South Dalton in East Yorkshire, north of Beverley. At least that is where she lived and bore six children as a married woman 1781-1799.
David Hardbattle clearly married a woman called Ann, who is still his wife in 1841, and was probably his wife at the birth of all his children 1781-1799 in Middleton, South Dalton and Etton, as the first child is named Ann. So far the place and exact date are unknown
It seems clear that his death is registered in the Beverley District early in 1843. He would still be in Etton, aged 83 and his widow Ann lived on for a further three years. [1]
It seems clear that Ann Hardbattle's death is registered in the Beverley District late in 1846. She would still be in Etton, aged about 86. [2]
Note: No marriage found ever in IGI England for David Battle or Hardbattle.
