Biography

Caroline, also Karoline, was born 10 Nov 1823 in Germany.[1]

She married August Ferdinand Klitzke and they had the following children:

  1. August Ferdinand Fredrick Klitzke (b. 1847)
  2. Carl Friedrich "Fred" William Klitzke (b. 1850)
  3. Charles Klitzke (b. 1855).

On 9 May 1877 Caroline, Ferdinand, and Carl were arriving from Bremen, Germany on the steamship SS Nurnberg. Their last legal address was in Pomerania. "Country Claiming Allegiance" is United States of America. [2]

In 1880 Caroline and her husband August Ferdinand were residing in Reedsburg, Wisconsin with their son August and his family. Their son Charles was also residing at this home. [3]

She passed away on 24 Mar 1910 at age 86. She is buried at the Saint Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church in Reedsburg, Wisconsin.[1]
