There is apparently no good evidence that Martha was a Honeywell. As memorialized in the Westchester town books, Thomas Hunt was born 4 Dec 1680 to Josiah Hunt and wife Martha. At that time, Israel Honeywell lived far away in Ipswich, Massachusetts, where he showed up frequently in court records. Israel purchased a home lot in Westchester on 5 May 1693 (B:151). There was no earlier Honeywell presence in Westchester -- nor did Israel have any known sister or the like by the name of Martha!
NOTE: There is no proof Israel came from Maine either (his parents are also very uncertain). Israel's daughter Sarah became stepdaughter of Josiah Hunt (after Martha's death, Josiah married Israel Honeywell's widow Mary; see Josiah Hunt's profile for more information).
Martha (maiden name unknown?) married Josiah Hunt, (the son of Thomas and Cecily Hunt) as his second wife, in 1680.[1][2]
Josiah and Martha had, at the Grove Farm:
Martha Hunt last appeared on 17 Jun 1719, when she consented to a deed from her husband Josiah to their son Thomas (E:239).
