Biography
Selina was born in 1855[1] at Maidstone[2], Loose, Birling, Marystow [sic] (probaly should have been Maidstone), or Aylesford, Kent, England, and was baptised on the 28th October 1855 at All Saints, Maidstone, Kent, England, the daughter of Thomas Upton[2] (labourer)[3] and Selina Upton of Mote Road, Maidstone[4]
On the 1st October 1877, Selina Upton married George Terry at St. Michael, Offham, Kent, England. George Terry, 24, bachelor, Fruiterer of West Malling, son of William Terry (Fruiterer); and Selina Upton, 22, spinster of Offham, daughter of Thomas Upton (labourer). Witnessed by Thomas Upton and Carey Maria Harryman.[5][3]
She passed away in 1932.

Research Notes
As Selina was baptised at Maidstone shortly after her birth, and her parent's residence was recorded as Mote Road in the parish of All Saints, Maidstone, this is most probably where she was born, but she may not have known this when she gave her place of birth in later census. Her younger siblings Thomas, Albert and Henry were all born at Birling, Kent, England.
The earliest census that Selina is found with her parents (1871) gives her place of birth as Maidstone, Kent.
