Biography
Daniels death shook his widow to the core and she died of a broken heart at age 31 . The inscription on her gravestone "Sacred to the memory of Zervah Townsend, relict of Daniel Townsend , who died October 19, 1775, age 31. Death has now my life swept away to follow my companion dear but Christ can bear my soul away away and land it on the Heavenly Shore."
