Biography

Bernice Eliza Ure was born on August 8, 1887 in Sandwich East Township, Essex, Ontario, Canada, daughter of William Ure (1850–1942) and Margaret Little (~1848–1929).^[1]

Bernice (28) married Frederick John Frith (32) (born on March 19, 1884 in Oldcastle, Tecumseh, Essex; son of William Henry Frith and Elizabeth Amelia (Thorne) Frith) on July 12, 1916 in Sandwich South Township, Essex.^[2] Their children were:

• William Douglas Frith (1917– )
• Wilfred James Frith (1917– )

Bernice died on October 11, 1974 in Windsor, Essex, aged 87.

FRITH—Bernice (nee Ure), October 11, 1974 at her late residence 985 Dougall Ave. At the age of 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Frederick, (1961). Dear mother of William of Westland, Michigan; Wilfred at home, Murray of Vancouver; Margaret Frith at home; Mrs. Vincent Voorhees (Winnifred) of Southfield, Michigan. Dear sister of Miss Jessie Ure of Windsor. 7 grandchildren. 3 great-grandchildren also survive. Resting at the Windsor Chapel Funeral Home, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. at Chilver Rd. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 14 at 12 noon in the Windsor Chapel. Mrs. Ruth Center will officiate. Thence to Wooddmere Cemetery for cremation in Detroit. Please note visiting hours will be from 2 till 5, 7 till 9 on Sunday, October 13. Also Monday until time of service.
