Biography
When Alexander Ure was born on 22 June 1822 in Haggs, Stirlingshire, his father, William, was 39 and his mother, Margaret, was 29. He married Margaret Heeps on 31 December 1842 in Polmont, Stirlingshire. They had 13 children in 21 years. He died on 23 September 1886 in Muiravonside, Stirlingshire, at the age of 64.
