Biography

Hezekiah was born in 1779 in New Jersey. He relocated with his parents to Maryland, and again to Mason County, Kentucy by 1798.

On 16 Jul. 1798 a marriage bond was issued for his marriage to Sarah Clark, daughter of John Clark of Nicholas County, Kentucky. The marriage occurred a year later on 16 Jul. 1799. He settled in Nicholas County, Kentucky after his marriage.

In 1824 he purchased 400 acres in Parke County, Indiana and 160 acres in neighboring Montgomery County, Indiana, but did not relocate there at that time. He was of Nicholas County, Kentucky when in 1830 he sold 80 acres of his land in Parke County, Indiana to his sister-in-law Ruth Clark, and an additional 80 acres in Parke County to her son William Clark. He was still of Nicholas County, Kentucky in 1834 when a marriage bond was issued for the marriage of his daughter Nancy to William Wilson.

He relocated to Montgomery County, Indiana before 1840, where he is enumerated in the Federal Census of that year. He passed away in 1841 and was buried in Russellville Cemetery just across the border in Putnam County, Indiana.
