Biography
Major Benjamin van Cleve served with New Jersey Militia during the American Revolution.
Benjamin VanCleve was born about 1740. He was a Major in the New Jersey Militia during the American Revolutionary War.
He married 1st to Sarah Angevine as per the SAR [1]
He married 2nd to widow Ann Dickinson (nee) Smith)Green.
He died in 1817 at Lawrenceville, Mercer County, New Jersey, USA. [2]
Spouses: 1) Mary VanCleve 1746–11 July 1784, daughter of Joseph Wright. 2) Anna Dickinson Smith 1749–1789, Daughter of Rev. Caleb Smith, her first marriage was to Thomas Green 2 Sept 1738 - Aug 1777. [3]
