In 1850, Jacob (9) was living with Elijah Vaubelson (40), Hannah Vaubelson (38), Phillip Vaubelson (15), Mary Vaubelson (12), Stephen Vaubelson (8), Andrew Vaubelson (3), and Sarah Vaubelson (0). [3]

In 1860, Jacob (19) was living with Elijah Vnvelson (50), Hannah Vnvelson (47), Steven K Vnvelson (18), Andrew D Vnvelson (13), Sarah E Vnvelson (11), and Franklin A Vnvelson (9). [4]

During the Civil War, he enlisted as a Private in Company [ ] of the [Unit]. These men were principally recruited in the counties of [ ]. [5]

He was captured and sent to Andersonville Prison, where he died of disease on March 21, 1864 in Andersonville, aged 23. He was buried in Andersonville National Cemetery, Andersonville National Historic Site, Macon County, Georgia.[2]
