Cecily Verney was the eldest daughter of John Verney of Pendley in Hertfordshire and his wife, Margaret née Whittingham. She had three elder brothers, Ralph, John and Robert, and a younger sister, Anne. [1][2]
Not long after 3 April 1509 her mother Margaret died and bequeathed to Cecily and her husband, Sir Edward Chamberlaine, in her will, a feather bed and bolster, two blankets and a hanging or tapestry 'for a chamber', very likely a bed chamber.[1]
Death
The only date for her death that can be found is roughly September 1543, the same time as the death of her husband. Whether this is accurate is still to be verified. The information comes from Ancestry, and is behind a paywall.
