Hilbert – Mrs. Joseph Koehler, 76, of Woodville, died at 6 p.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth’s hospital after a short illness. Mrs. Lena Vollmer Koehler was born Oct. 22, 1865 in the town miles south and west of Hilbert. She was married Nov. 10, 1885 at St. John to Joseph Koehler. Survivors are one daughter, Theresa, Mrs. Anton Hauser, Hilbert; seven sons, Henry, Leo, Peter, Claude and Norbert, Woodville, Fred, Sheboygan, and Leonard, Hilbert; 20 grandchildren, one great grandchild, one sister, Mrs. Joseph Brantmeier, Hilbert, three brothers, William and John, Hilbert and Peter, Appleton. Funeral services were held at the Eldridge Funeral home and at St. John the Baptist church, St. John. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Rev. A. A. Auer officiated. Mrs. Koehler was a member of the Christian Mothers society and the members attended in a body.
