Biography

Hannah was born in Württemberg, Germany in 1830. She immigrated to the United States as a child.

In December of 1850, at eighteen years old, she married Friedrich Haehnlen in Philadelphia.[1] Together, they had seven children:

  1. Friedrich Jr. (b. 1855)[2]
  2. John (b. 1857)[2]
  3. Edward (b. 1859)[2]
  4. Annie (b. 1861)[3]
  5. Charlotte (b. 1864)[4]
  6. Adelaide (b. 1867)[4]
  7. Jessie (b. 1870).[4]

The Haehnlen children were all born and raised in Harrisburg.[2][4][5] Annie passed away in 1865; Charlotte passed away in 1891; Friedrich passed away in 1892.

In 1900, Hannah lived with her daughter Adelaide.[6] She passed away a short time later in 1902.[3]
