Biography

Margaret Elizabeth Waggoner, daughter of George Waggoner and Sarah Elizabeth Phillips, was born on 10 February 1817 in Indiana. George Waggoner was an immigrant from Germany who arrived in Indiana Territory about 1815 and settled near Salem, Washington County, Indiana. In 1820 they moved to Salt Creek Township, Jackson County. This is where Elizabeth met and married Hezekiah Strutton in 1836. Margaret passed away on 29 August 1895 in Jackson County, Indian and is buried in Becks Grove Cemetery, Brown County, Indiana.[1][2]

Margaret and Hezekiah had three children: Absolem, Susannah and Elizabeth.
