Biography

At the time of the US census 1850 Barrent Wagher, 14 years old, lived in the household of his widowed father Philip Wagher in Knox County. He was born in New York like all his brothers and sisters, apart from the youngest, Francis (7), who was born in Illinois.[1]

Barney Wagher married "Percella" Croach 5 January 1862 in Knox County.[2][3]

At the time of the census 1870 Barney Wagher was a widower in Copley, Knox. He had three children: Mary H (7), ?Francis A (5) and Rebecca J (3). His father, Phillip Wagher also lived in the household.[4]

Barney B Wagher married Sary E Hedberg in Knox, Illinois, 5 January 1872.[5]

Sarah and Barney both had children from previous marriages. At the time of the census 1880 they lived in Copley, Knox with Barney's children Mary S (17), Francis A (16) and Janie (15); their children in common: Bertis (7), Victor (3), and Mandena (2) and Sarah's son Lambert Hedberg (14). Barney's father was also in the household.[6]

Barney and Sarah still lived in Copley, Knox, in 1900. Two of their sons still lived at home.[7]

Bernard Garrett Wagher died in 1902.[8][9]
