Biography
David was born in 1811 to Henry and Ann nee Smith.[1] He married Sarah Chitty in 1832.[2] He immigrated to New Zealand aboard the Sir Edward Paget in 1856.[3] He passed away in 1900 just one day before his brother Arthur.[4]
ARTHUR AND DAVID WAGHORN. .
Two old and respected pioneers of Canterbury- passed away a few days ago. Mt David Wagbom died at Little Akaloa on Sunday, and his brother, Mr Arthur Waghorn, died at Addington on Monday. The former was eighty-nine years of age, and the latter eighty-six. Mr Arthur Waghorn arrived in, the Randolph, one of the first four ships, but his brother did not arrive until some months afterwards. Mt Arthur Waghorn's wife died before him, but he leaves a grown-up family of four daughters, and three sons [5]
