Theodore Benjamin Wagner was born on 11 August 1894 in Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina, the son of Henry Wagner and Martha Flowers.

Theodore Benjamin Wagner (22), farmer, registered for the World War I draft on 5 June 1917 in Catawba County, North Carolina, described as medium height, medium build, with light blue eyes and light brown hair.^[3] Theodore was a veteran of World War I, Private, US Army, enlisted 27 May 1918 and discharged 25 June 1919, according to the US Department of Veterans Affairs BIRLS Death File, 1850-2010.

TAYLORSVILLE Theodore Benjamin Wagner, 83, a retired farmer, died Thursday. Funeral is 3 pm today at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Survivors are wife Lelia; sons Frank Wagner of Raleigh; Carl Wagner of Hudson; Oren Wagner of Winston-Salem; daughters Miss Rachel Wagner of Kannapolis Miss; Emilyn Wagner; brother Charlie Wagner of Hickory; sisters Mrs Clyde Keller of Hudson Miss; Netta Wagner and Miss Vinna Wagner, both of Hickory. Hickory Funeral Home is in charge.

Theodore Benjamin Wagner died 6 October 1977 in Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina of inanition and generalized arteriosclerosis, and was buried at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Bethlehem, Alexander County, North Carolina.^[11][12]
