Theodore Benjamin Wagner was born on 11 August 1894 in Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina, the son of Henry Wagner and Martha Flowers.

Frank Wagner (40), farmer, born April 1860, and his wife, Martha (33), born October 1866, in rented farm property, reported 5 children, all surviving, in household with their children, Arzula M (10), born May 1890, Biddie (7), born November 1892, Theodore (5), born August 1894, Charlie (4), born April 1896, Sallie, 4 months old, born January 1900, and also Frank's mother, Rachel (73), widowed, reported 4 children, 3 surviving. Arzula and Biddie attended school 4 months within the census year. Frank, Martha, and Arzula were able to read, write, and speak English and all in household were born in North Carolina.[1]

TAYLORSVILLE Theodore Benjamin Wagner, 83, a retired farmer, died Thursday. Funeral is 3 pm today at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Survivors are wife Lelia; sons Frank Wagner of Raleigh; Carl Wagner of Hudson; Oren Wagner of Winston-Salem; daughters Miss Rachel Wagner of Kannapolis Miss; Emilyn Wagner; brother Charlie Wagner of Hickory; sisters Mrs Clyde Keller of Hudson Miss; Netta Wagner and Miss Vinna Wagner, both of Hickory. Hickory Funeral Home is in charge.

Theodore Benjamin Wagner died 6 October 1977 in Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina of inanition and generalized arteriosclerosis, and was buried at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Bethlehem, Alexander County, North Carolina.[11][12]
