One slave was enumerated in Lyman's household for the 1790 US Census.
His will is dated 17 December 1825 and proved on 25 March 1836 in Fairfield. He mentions his wife Abigail, his grandchildren, Bradley, Hanford, Andrew, Mary, and Esther (children of his son Lewis), his daughter Esther Jennings, and Samuel.[1]
His inventory was completed on 19 April 1836 and the distribution was to the name in his will.[2]
The estate distribution was set out to Esther Jennings, the heirs of Samuel Wakeman (Samuel Wakeman, David Wakeman, Seth Wakeman, Abigail Jennings, Huldah Wakeman, Polly Wakeman, Harriet Wakeman, and the heir of Lewis Wakeman (Bradley Wakeman, Hanford Wakeman, Andrew Wakeman, Mary Wakeman, and Esther Wakeman).[3]
