Biography
Robert William Walden was born 28 June 1864 in Baden Ontario, Canada. He was the son of Robert Walden and Elizabeth Upton. His parents emigrated to Canada from Norfolk, England soon after their marriage in January 1862. Robert married Sarah Matilda Marshall 27 May 1891. She was the daughter of Andrew Marshall and Matilda Ford. Robert was a shop keeper and deputy postmaster. He gave customers their change in tokens which had to be used in his store. A picture of the tokens is attached. Robert died 17 October 1917.
