He was the son of Seaborn W. Walden and Elizabeth E. L. Craven. He is buried in Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, High Point, DeKalb County, Alabama. It should be noted that his birth year is engraved on tombstone as 1854, but family possessions and other records show 1853.
