Biography

Geoffrey was born about 1490.

He was Bailiff of Stone, Staffordshire, under Sampson Erdeswick Esq. MP (abt.1489-1544). As bailiff he received a fee of £1 6s 8d a year from the Augustinian Priory in Stone in 1518.^[1]

His will dated 16 October 1537 names his wife Helen, his son and heir Sampson Walkeden, and his friend and patron Sampson Erdeswick. It was proved at Lichfield on 26 April 1542.^[2]
