Bolling studied for the ministry, but his profession was a salesman for a piano company in the Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas border areas. Family stories and Census records put him in Quannah Texas in 1910's.
He is buried in the Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, United States.[1]
