When William Walker was born on March 25, 1747, in Rehoboth, Massachusetts, his father, Ebenezer, was 30 and his mother, Bethiah, was 28. He married Hannah Smith on September 15, 1768, in Ashford, Connecticut. They had four children during their marriage. He died on September 1, 1826, in Ashford, Connecticut, having lived a long life of 79 years.
