Walter Walker lived in Canada.

David (alias Walter), the son of David W. Walker (1839-1925) and Ann Gordon (1841-1913) was born on 3 January 1885 at Prince Edward Island, Canada.

In 1891, David W. M. Walker was 6 years of age and residing with his parents at Queens, Prince Edward Island, Canada. [1]

World War I Service

David served with the Canadian Expeditionary Forces during WWI, Regiment Number 166 from 1914-1918. The attestation paper was signed on 7 December 1914 and he is listed as being married to "Addie" Walker.[2]

Marriage and Children

David married Ada Melvina "Addie" Fraser, the daughter of Robert Frederick and Elizabeth (Stewart) Fraser say 1911 at Prince Edward Island, Canada. They had three children. The two boys were born at Canada, and their daughter was born at Minnesota:

  1. Stuart Gordon Walker (b. 1912; d. 2010)
  2. Dodd Kitchener Walker (b. 1915; d. 2000)
  3. Helen Elizabeth Walker (b. 1919; d. 2007)

It is not certain when David and Addie may have been divorced, but likely aroud 1919 at Canada. According to the 1921 Census, "Walter", 36 years of age, occupation Engineer was listed as "Single" and residing with his brother George Walker at Queens, Prince Edward Island, Canada.[3]

Addie and her two sons arrived in the United States on 4 March 1919 via Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan. She had $98 and her U.S. contact was her brother, Everett Fraser, who was residing in Minneapolis, Minnesota.[4]Her daughter, Helen Elizabeth Walker was born in Minnesota shortly after they emigrated from Canada.

Death and Burial

David Walter Mabon Walker died on 24 February 1964 in his 79th year at Prince Edward Island, Canada. He is buried in The People's Cemetery at Charlottetown, Queens, Prince Edward Island, Canada.[5]
