Cora was born in 1867. She is the daughter of Aaron Waller and Sarah Whiting. Cora passed away in 1932, and was buried at Brady Cemetery, Akin, Franklin County, Illinois.[1]
Cora was the wife of John Carroll Akin. They had seven children; Adam and Jesse died in infancy; surviving are Mack Akin of Thompsonville; Nellie McGhee of Benton; Waller of Stockton, Calif.; and Clifford and Lester Akin at home; four brothers Charles and Welcome Waller of Thompsonville., Wilson Waller of Broughton, IL., Clem of West Frankfort; two sisters: Mary L. Clark of McLeansboro and Fannie Morris of Greensburg, Kansas. She united with Oak Grove church about 48 years ago.[2]
