Henry was born about 1742. He passed away about 1821.

Notes from Reetha Clancy:

Henry Walradt, Esq. 1742-1821, s/o Henry Wallrad, 1717-1756 and gson of the settler Henry Conrad Wallrad. I have the copy of the handwritten will of Henry Conrad in which he mentions his two sons, Henry the elder and Johan Adolph. The latter was later called Johannes or Johannes or John Walrath, and had a license to operate a ferry over the Mowawk near Ft. Plain. It was long known as Walrath's Ferry, and it was later taken over by his nephew, Henry Walradt Esq. Henry, Esq. was an innkeeper and Jusice of the Peace. He fought in the battle of Oriskany. His wife was Elizabeth Bowman, and they were the parents of 14 or 15 children. These were: Eliz.H. b 1764, m Moses Van Campen; John, b 1766, m Magdalena Zoller; Henry, b 1768, m Anna (Nancy) Bowman (Bauman); Jacob H., b 1770, m Anna Zoller; Adolph, d infancy; (John) Adam, b 1773. m Elizabeth Moyer; Phillip, b 1775; James or Jane, b 1777; Catherine, b 1779, m Henry I. Zoller; Johan Frriedrich, b 1782, d infancy; Mary, b 1784, m Stephen Scriber; Anna, b 1787, m Henry J. Moyer; Margaret, b 1790, m Solomon Putnam; Abraham, b 1791; Peter, b 1792.

The Walrath Property was on the south side of the Mohawk, between the towns of Minden and Ft. Plain. At a later time I will relate the stories of the bravery of Elizabeth Bowman Walrath during the Indian Wars and the Revolution as related by her daughter Mary, who married Stephen Scriber, the ancestor of our member #9 Edith Mahaffey (now deceased) and her daughter,#52, Betty Briggs. These stories are from "The House Family of the Mohawk" by Shaver.

Daniel Walrath, gson of Henry Walradt, esq. and Elizabeth Bowman, was the son of Henry, known as Henry Jr. who married Anna (Nancy) Bauman, daughter of Jacob Bauman and Anna Foltz. Both Jacob Bauman and Anna's father Hans Jacob Foltz (Folts) fought in the Battle of Oriskany.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Henrich by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Henrich:

Walradt-32 and Walrath-175 appear to represent the same person because: Quoting born in Minden (which wasn't technically correct at his time) but we're all working from the WFA Newsletters.
