Biography
The son of John Jacob and Maria Magdelena Crispen Walter. Married in 1816 to his cousin, Elizabeth Catherine Walter, daughter of Peter and Anna Marie Huffman Walter. He was the father of Ellen (McFadden), David H., Mary Ann (Ayres), Sarah, Anna Elisabeth (Huffman), Craft, John H., Peter, and Sarah Ann (Huffman) Walter.
He was reared in his native township, and followed milling in connection with farming. He died at the age of sixty-two years.
