Biography

Dewnes was born and baptised^[1] at Kenn, Devon in 1556. She was the daughter of William Waltham. Dewnes/Dunes was married to Hugh Richards in 1576 at Kenn^[2] and they had six children, five daughters plus a son Gilbert. They remained at Kenn and Hugh died and was buried there in 1628, leaving a will. Dewnes/Dionis was the recipient of his estate, but she would die in 1630 at Kenn and was also buried there^[3].
