Biography
Edgar was born February 27, 1837. He had three wives -- Amy Stevens, Rosanna McCord, and Emma Thompson Collins. His second wife, Rosanna, had been married to Edgar's brother, Madison, who died during the Civil War. Edgar and Amy had two children, and he and Rosanna had four. Edgar was a farmer, but was retired when he passed away August 2, 1915 from chronic mycarditis with contributory laryngial spasm.
