Obituary: "Helen Drake "Helen Drake, age 87, of Hondo passed away in San Antonio, Monday, Dec 30, 1996. She was born in Strong, AR, on April 25, 1909. "Mrs Drake taught school 42 years. "She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joel B Drake; and sister Kermit Toombs. "Survivors include her daughters, Judith Drake Glasscock of Hondo and Charlotte Schick of Las Vegas, NV; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. "Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan 4, 1997, in Pine Crest Memorial Park, Alexander, AR. "Arrangements were directed by Guinn-Horger Funeral Home, Hondo."
