Ward, William E., age 61 of 9608 Welsh Rd., Brookville, died Friday at Good Samaritan Hospital after an extended illness. A life area resident and retired Schriber Co. employee. Member of Vandalia Grace Brethren Church. Survived by his wife Esther M., daughters Mrs. Patricia A. Rhoades of Lewisburg, Mrs. Esther Edith Pottender of Vandalia, sons, William E. of Brookville, Daniel L. of Dayton, 13 grandchildren, sister Mrs. Betty Davies of Dayton, niece Mrs. Maude Smith of Dayton. Funeral services 1:00 PM Monday at the Gilbert Funeral Home, Brookville, Rev. Charles Lawson officiating. Interment Arlington Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 3-6 PM Sunday.[2]
