Biography

Charles was born in Connecticut, in April of 1892.^[1] He is very likely the Charles Waring/Warren who appears in grandfather, William Henry Waring's 1900 census, and aunt, Emma Waring Gounoud's 1920 census.^{[2] [3]}

The 1900 census shows him with an older brother, Harry, born 1886. Given this birthdate, their father would almost certainly be William Henry's oldest son, William E. Waring, as he was the only one old enough to have reasonably fathered a child in 1886. Unfortunately, no sources have yet been found regarding either his marriage or probable early death.

Charles married Mary Dolan, daughter of Thomas Dolan and Margaret Smith, before the 1922 birth of their oldest known child.^[4] They had two known children:

• 1922-2006: Clare Dolan, m. 1st Stephen Toth, 1959; m. 2nd Harry Owens
• 1932-2019: Joan Margaret, m. George Beaudoin

Charles died in Stamford, in September of 1969.^{[5] [6]} Mary lived another eleven years, passing in Aiken, South Carolina, in May of 1980.^[7] There burials are not known.
